I sometimes ask children to tell their sibling a secret or pose them in various ways, but these two needed no such direction. Having had taken their photos before, I knew to just let these two be themselves.  The image above was totally spontaneous and it makes me wonder what we were discussing at the time and what secret was being shared between the two of them. It’s images like that top photo and the bottom sword image that show their love and playfulness. Luckily for me, I was able to escape the shoot without any direct sword attacks, but lots of beautiful images of this lovely family! 🙂
Crossfit Mama – Boulder, CO Maternity Photographer
I had the wonderful opportunity to take photos of the amazingly strong and beautiful mom-to-be, Nicole of Crossfit Roots. At 8 months pregnant, she performed all sorts of lifts and skills that many of us non pregnant people could only dream of doing. I think it was around the tenth deadhang pull-up that I decided to cut her some slack and move on to the next part of the photo shoot. She is such an inspiration to all of her Roots athletes and personifies what it means to be healthy, disciplined, and strong.

Who doesn’t love a sweet, red-haired baby with a grumpy, I don’t want to be kissed face?! She was all smiles for the rest of the shoot and we got some great pictures of her and her family beneath the beautiful Boulder landscape at Chautauqua Park.

This photo shoot was special for me because this sweet newborn baby girl looked so much like my little girl when she was first born. I love that I have a job where I can hold and dote on tiny, newborn babies! This cutie gave me the perfect combination of awake and sleepy shots. I’m surely biased, but isn’t she beautiful?

When I first discovered the custom super hero capes and masks for little kids, I thought they were the coolest thing. After all, what kid doesn’t love to pretend they are a super hero? But then, when I asked my client if there were any specific outfits for this sweet little guy, she brings out this masterpiece! Seriously, I don’t think it gets any better than an infant sized super hero cape and power bracelet! Pure awesomeness! This little guy is destined for greatness. 🙂
